Blogging considered harmful

Well, if not harmful, then at least uncool. Just when I thought I had finally joined the ranks of the truly Internet-savvy, this study comes along. In the words of Nicholas Carr, “blogging is now the uncoolest thing you can do on the Internet.”

The percentage of teens blogging dropped from 28% in 2007 to 14% today; among 20somethings, it dropped from 24% to 15%. Again, citing Nicholas Carr, “it’s only the geezers — those over 30 — who are doing more blogging than they used to.”

I am now officially a geezer.
